NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF KOGI STATE STUDENTS
The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) is the official umbrella body representing students from Kogi State, Nigeria, in tertiary institutions nationwide. NAKOSS focuses on student welfare, educational opportunities, and unity, with recent activity in 2026 highlighting bursary initiatives, campus improvements at KSP, and student-focused events
The association focuses on the welfare and academic progress of its members. NAKOSS HANGOUT’25
The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) successfully hosted an exciting and memorable hangout aimed at promoting unity, friendship, networking, and cultural interaction among members. The event brought together students from different departments and levels in a relaxed atmosphere filled with fun, entertainment, and meaningful interactions.
The hangout featured various activities including music, games, dance, comedy, cultural displays, and interactive sessions that encouraged members to socialize and strengthen the bond within the association. The leaders are elected representatives entrusted with the responsibility of promoting the welfare of students, preserving the cultural heritage of Kogi State, and maintaining peace and cooperation among members.
NAKOSS leadership is typically headed by the President, who serves as the chief executive officer of the association. The President works alongside other executives such as the Vice President, General Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Welfare Director, Social Director, and other appointed or elected officers. Together, they oversee the affairs of the association and ensure that its aims and objectives are achieved.
One of the major responsibilities of the leadership is to represent the interests of Kogi State students within and outside the institution. They organize educational, social, cultural, and developmental programs that encourage student participation and promote unity among members from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the state.
The leadership also serves as a bridge between members and the school management, helping to address students’ concerns and advocating for opportunities such as scholarships, welfare support, and academic assistance.
